Hyderabad: Dr Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan, Honourary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Hyderabad for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, called on Azamat Yeskarayev, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to India, at the Embassy in New Delhi.
During the meeting, Dr Khan briefed the Ambassador on his recent official visit to Astana, Kazakhstan, where he held discussions with senior government officials to further strengthen bilateral relations between India and Kazakhstan. He also highlighted the growing interest in fostering direct engagement between Telangana and Kazakhstan, particularly in the areas of trade, tourism, and infrastructure development.
Dr Khan proposed the launch of a direct flight route between Hyderabad and Almaty to enhance air connectivity and bilateral economic ties. He emphasised that a direct air link would greatly benefit medical tourism, enabling easier access for Kazakh citizens to Hyderabad’s world-class healthcare services and hospitals, which are already widely recognised by international patients.
