Finally got the update from KTM about the issues. Listing it below.
1. The tank has been found to have some weld leaks and was replaced under warranty.
2. The left side tank shroud where the leak originated was supposedly NOT valid under warranty because apparently “the customer should have known due to the petrol smell and immediately taken to the service centre, then we could have replaced it under warranty”. Ironically this was the exact thing I did, but the service centre which completed my third service was permanently shut? How is this the fault of the customer? I have asked them to push back again and talk to KTM India for the same. If they still ask me to pay, I will 100% move on from KTM as a brand. It’s not about the money, it’s about the principle.
3. The battery issue was diagnosed and found to be a faulty/loose wire. It has been fixed and the battery is healthy. Long way off from the misdiagnosed dead battery by KTM Kolathur.
4. I have requested new front brake pads which are apparently Brembo. I highly doubt it, but I am attaching photos of the old vs new ones, which I requested the service technician to share.
