Telangana Jagruthi announced new overseas presidents to boost its global presence and connect with the Telangana diaspora. President K Kavitha urged appointees to promote Telangana culture abroad. Regional committees will soon be formed, the organisation’s general secretary said.

Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi, the cultural and social arm that played a key role during the Telangana statehood movement, has announced a major organisational expansion across the globe.
Aimed at strengthening its presence among the Telangana diaspora, Telangana Jagruthi president and BRS MLC K Kavitha has appointed new presidents for its overseas branches.
In a statement, Kavitha urged the newly appointed representatives to promote Telangana’s rich culture and address the concerns of the diaspora in their respective regions. She reiterated that the organisation would continue its international engagement through cultural promotion and community outreach.
The newly appointed overseas representatives are:
- New Zealand: Aruna Jyothi Muddam
- United Kingdom: Suman Rao Balmuri
- Gulf Region: Chellamsetty Hariprasad
- Qatar: Mookala Praveena Lakshmi (President), Nandini Abbagoni (Advisor)
- UAE: Peechara Venkateswara Rao (President), Shekhar Goud (General Secretary)
- Saudi Arabia: Mohammed Mojjam Ali Ifteqar
- Oman: Gundu Rajender Neta
- Kuwait: Marka Pramod Kumar
- Italy: Taninki Kishore Yadav
- Kenya: Swapna Reddy Gantla
- Iraq and Kurdistan: Mohammed Salman Khan (President), Naikwar Ram Chander (General Secretary)
- Finland: Ireddy Sandeep Reddy
- Portugal: Prakash Ponnakanti
- Malta: Pintu Ghosh
In addition, Srinivas Sulge has been appointed as the president of the Maharashtra unit.
Telangana Jagruthi general secretary Naveen Achari stated that full-fledged committees would be announced shortly in each region.
