A 24-year-old man died in a hit-and-run accident in Kukatpally late on Saturday night, June 29. The deceased was identified as P Suresh, a private employee.
According to the police, the incident was reported when Suresh was travelling from Kukatpally to Balanagar on his two-wheeler. An unidentified vehicle struck him near metro pillar 839 and fled the spot. Emergency responders arrived at the scene in an ambulance and confirmed that Suresh had succumbed to his injuries. His body was subsequently shifted to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The investigation revealed that Suresh had left his residence in Rajiv Nagar, Boduppal, at around 4 p.m. to go shopping with friends in Kukatpally. At approximately 10 p.m., he informed his parents over the phone that he would be staying the night at a friend’s house and returning home the next morning.
Following a complaint from Suresh’s father, a case was booked and an investigation initiated to identify the vehicle and driver involved.
