Citizens raise nala, parkland encroachment issues at Hydraa’s Prajavani

During Hydraa’s weekly Prajavani session in Hyderabad, multiple citizens complained about nala and parkland encroachments. One case in Fatehnagar reportedly involves illegal construction fetching Rs 1.5 lakh in monthly rent. Petitioners demanded immediate action to restore nalas and prevent flooding

Hyderabad: Petitioners continued to approach the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (Hydraa) at Budha Bhavan to submit their grievances in the hope of redressal during the weekly Prajavani on Monday.

Many complained that by encroaching, unscrupulous elements were making easy money at their cost. A few also submitted grievances related to encroachment of nalas.

Complainants alleged that an encroacher built three structures on a nala in Fatehnagar in Balanagar by encroaching 350 square yards and collecting rentals of Rs 1.5 lakh. As a result, the nala shrank, and nearby colonies were facing inundation problems.

The complainants urged Hydraa to take immediate action to address the issue and restore the nalas to their original condition.

In another complaint, people alleged that illegal individuals had built structures on a nala at Khaisar Nagar, Medchal. A couple of complaints related to parkland encroachments were also received during the Prajavani programme.
