I just want to build the vRS, Skoda should have given us. Also, performance-wise, the 1.5tsi stock is very closely matched to the OG 1st gen octy vRS
BHPian fulcrum29 recently shared this with other enthusiasts:
Hi guys,
Here is the update on my Slavia vRS project.
Current list of mods is-
1. 17-inch Kushaq Monte Carlo rims, with 225/45 Continental rubber
2. Cobra lowering springs
3. Catback exhaust with a valvetronic end can
4. Rear boot lip spoiler
5. Rear diffuser
6. Blacked out roof
7. vRS badging on boot and front grill
Upcoming mods are-
1. Forge blowoff valve ( can’t resist the swoosh of excess boost being dumped on liftoff )
2. Imported ECU and a stage 2 tune. 1.5 tsi ecu’s have not been cracked till now, so the ecu will have to be imported. My end goal is 200 Bhp and 300 Nm of torque. I think the stock gearbox and clutch should be able to handle this(I don’t plan on doing any hard launches). Advice is welcome on this.
3. Full dechrome, staying true to vRS design.
I’m looking forward to suggestions on mods that I should do and honest feedback on how the car is looking. I know vRS purists will consider it blasphemy, putting vRS badges on a non-vRS car, but imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Looking forward to your feedback…
