A man from Gandhari in Kamareddy died of electrocution during a theft attempt in Mancherial. He was hiding on a rooftop when his neck got entangled in a live wire. Police are probing the incident, considering both theft and suicide angles.

Mancherial: A man from Kamareddy district was electrocuted while allegedly attempting to steal valuables at Islampura in Mancherial town on Sunday night.
According to police, the deceased was identified as Maloth Ramesh from Gandhari mandal in Kamareddy. He died on the spot, reportedly after coming into contact with a live electric wire while hiding on top of a building.
Ramesh had entered the premises to steal from a house, but was spotted by residents who raised an alarm. In an attempt to hide, he bent down and his neck got entangled in the live wire, police said.
Locals alerted the police, who rushed to the spot and shifted the body to a government hospital for postmortem. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
Police are examining all possible angles, including accidental death and a suspected suicide attempt by Ramesh.
