Telangana weather | Thunderstorm alert in 25 districts on July 1

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm alert for 25 Telangana districts for Tuesday (July 1, 2025).

According to IMDs latest bulletin, thunderstorm accompanied with lightning is very likely to occur at isolated places in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad; Mancherial; Nirmal; Nizamabad; Jagtial; Rajanna Sircilla; Karimnagar; Peddapalli; Jayashankar Bhupalpally; Mulugu; Bhadradri Kothagudem; Khammam; Nalgonda; Suryapet; Mahabubabad; Warangal; Hanamkonda; Jangaon; Siddipet; Yadadri Bhongir; Rangareddy; Hyderabad; Medchal Malkajgiri; Vikarabad and Sangareddy districts. Additionally, the IMD has also forecast strong surface winds in all 33 districts of the State.

Meanwhile, for Hyderabad and its surrounding areas, the sky will be generally cloudy for the next 24 hours. “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied with strong surface winds are very likely to occur in parts of the city. Hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 31°C and 23°C respectively,” the bulletin said.
