Dhanush’s NOC controversy regarding the Silambarasan TR and Vetrimaaran’s project in the Vadachennai universe has finally come to an end.
Vetrimaaran clarified the issue by posting a video stating that Dhanush has not taken a single rupee and promised to issue the NOC for Vadachennai and the news that Dhanush demanded 20 crores is completely baseless.

He also mentioned that his project with Silambarasan TR is a movie set in the Vadachennai universe, but it is not Vadachennai 2.
Following this, despite the NOC controversies, Silambarasan TR fans and Dhanush fans have started celebrating the update, that his project with Silambarasan TR is set in the Vadachennai universe, as it may pave the way for Silambarasan TR and Dhanush to share screen space.

They also believe that, just as how Lokesh Kanagaraj created a cinematic universe (LCU) based on the interconnection between his movies Kaithi and Vikram, Vetrimaaran is going to create a universe in Vadachennai, and in Vadachennai 2, Silambarasan TR and Dhanush will have a face-off.
Still, Vetrimaaran has only mentioned that it’s happening in the Vadachennai universe; there has been no clarification about whether he is going to build a universe similar to Lokesh Kanagaraj’s.

However, it remains to be seen how Vetrimaaran and Silambarasan TR’s project will take shape in the future, and whether Vetrimaaran creates a series of movies in Vadachennai, and if Dhanush and Silambarasan TR will share screen space in Vadachennai 2.
