Here’s the first look at the upcoming Kia Carens Clavis EV, which is slated to launch on 15th July, 2025. Ahead of its official unveiling, the carmaker has released a video revealing its exterior design and interior and features along with highlighting its range figure. Kia claims that the Carens EV offers an impressive range of 490km on a single charge. However, the carmaker hasn’t yet disclosed its battery capacity, power and torque outputs.

Range & Battery

Reports suggest that the electric Kia Carens Clavis might share its powertrains with the Hyundai Creta Electric, which is available with 42kWh and 51.4kWh battery pack options. The 42kWh battery delivers a claimed ARAI range of 390km, while the 51kWh battery offers 473km. The larger battery pack version is expected to return the claimed 490km of range on a full charge.

Interior & Features

The official video shows a dual 12.3-inch screen setup running across the dashboard, a new floating centre console and a new wireless charging pad with some controls. The gear lever has been replaced by a storage space. This electric family EV will have 7-seats configuration and a light shade cabin theme. Similar to its ICE counterpart, the Kia Carens Clavis EV will be well-equipped with features such as

  • 8-speaker Bose sound system
  • Auto dimming IRVM with Kia Connect controls

  • Leatherette upholstery
  • 64-colour ambient lighting
  • Level 2 ADAS with 20 functions

EV-specific Design Changes:

The Kia Carens Clavis EV features a closed-off front and a charging socket on the nose covered with a new silver garnish charging flap. The revised front bumper and new ice-cubed LED fog lamps further differentiate it from the ICE-powered Carens Clavis. Unlike the standard alloys, the EV has new dual-tone aero-optimized alloy wheels.
