While many assumed this meant the end of Marco 2, its production house, Cubes Entertainments, has made it clear: the show will go on, with or without him.

Yes, this statement from the makers comes after a fan query urging them to either proceed with the action thriller or transfer the rights to another banner.
In response, here’s what the studio said, “Discussions regarding the Marco series are still not over yet. Cubes Entertainment exclusively owns all rights to Marco, and we firmly believe the journey of Marco holds immense potential. Please note: We are not open to transferring or sharing the rights of this franchise.”

The move has stirred conversations online, with netizens split over topics like who will be replacing Unni Mukundan in the titular role. A few unconfirmed reports even suggest a Bollywood actor may take over the lead. However, the studio hasn’t made any formal announcements yet.
Speaking of Marco, the film directed by Haneef Adeni, was a box office hit in 2024. Despite A-rating and violent themes, it went on to gross over Rs. 100 crore worldwide.
