Tata Sierra SUV Launching Soon

Tata Motors has confirmed that the Sierra will launch during  this year’s festive season. However, its exact launch date is yet to be revealed. The SUV has been showcased three times so far, each time in a slightly different form – as an EV concept at the 2020 Auto Expo, an updated EV concept 2.0 at the 2023 Auto Expo and a near-production model at the 2024 and 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo.

The Tata Sierra will be a direct rival to the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.

Tata Sierra SUV Launching Soon

The new-gen Tata Sierra will feature a triple screen – one for infotainment, one for instrument functionalities and one dedicated to the front passenger. There will be a new steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, ambient lighting and a floating centre console with multiple storage spaces. In terms of features the Sierra is likely to offer

Variants & Powertrains

Trim and variant details are yet to be revealed. However, the carmaker has confirmed that the Tata Sierra will come with both ICE and electric powertrains, featuring 165bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol, 170bh, 2.0L turbo diesel engines and two battery packs, respectively. The electric version is likely to borrow 65kWh and 75kWh batteries from the newly-launched Tata Harrier EV. The range of the Sierra EV will be over 500km on a full charge.
