Hyderabad: A man, who allegedly stole cardamoms from a supermarket, was caught by the Sanathnagar police.
Though the incident occurred early this week, it only recently came to light.
As per the available information, the suspect, who works as a supervisor in a hotel in the city, had allegedly stolen four 100-gram packets of cardamoms and concealed them in his clothing.
However, the supermarket staff, who noticed the theft, stopped him at the bill counter. When the security personnel checked him thoroughly, the stolen items were recovered.
It was later learned that the suspect then sold them to the hotel at a higher rate.
The police are investigating.
