Keeping up with its tradition, Mahindra & Mahindra has planned major unveils for this Independeance Day – 15th August, 2025. The homegrown automaker will showcase the Vision.T, Vision.S and Vision SXT SUV concepts along with the unveiling of its all-new Freedom NU platform at an event in Mumbai. While specific details of each concept will be revealed next month, the official teasers have already given us a few glimpses of the Vision concepts.
Mahindra Vision Concepts – What to Expect?

The latest teaser of the Vision SXT concept features a clamshell bonnet, sharp edges at the front, pronounced wheel arches and off-road focused tyres. These design elements appear similar to those seen in the teasers of the Vision T and Vision S concepts. If we look at rumours, the Vision.T and Vision.S concepts might preview the electric versions of the Thar and Scorpio N SUVs, respectively.
The Mahindra Vision.SXT could be a concept of the Scorpio N pickup truck. Just so you know, the carmaker had unveiled the Global Pik Up concept in 2023 in South Africa. Its production version is expected to hit Indian roads in 2026. However, it will be slightly toned down compared to the concept and could be offered with Scorpio’s 2.2L diesel or a petrol engine.
Mahindra Freedom NU Platform – What We So Far
The new-generation Mahindra Bolero is likely to be first model to feature the brand’s new Freedom NU platform, which will be unveiled on 15th August, 2025. It is expected to be a monocoque architecture that will support multiple powertrains including petrol, diesel, electric and hybrid. This all-new platform will underpin several future Mahindra SUVs for both the domestic and global markets.
Official details about the Mahindra Vision concepts and the Freedom NU platform will be revealed on 15th August. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews for the latest updates.
