It’s been close to three months since Volkswagen launched the sporty Tiguan R-Line in India, and already, the SUV is being offered with a discount. According to a media report, VW is offering benefits of up to Rs 3 lakh on the Tiguan R-Line. This includes a flat cash discount of Rs 2 lakh. The Tiguan R-Line was launched at Rs 49 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is imported into the country via the CBU route. The latest offer brings this price down to Rs 47 lakh. The Tiguan R-Line is offered with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 201 BHP and 320 Nm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and VW’s 4Motion all-wheel drive system. VW is also offering benefits of up to Rs 2 lakh and Rs 2.5 lakh on the Virtus and Taigun, respectively. Source: Autocar India
