Just two weeks after its theatrical release on June 20, Kuberaa has suffered a serious piracy blow. The film that stars Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna, and Jim Sarbh has been leaked online in full HD quality across notorious piracy platforms and Telegram.
Initially, low-quality cam prints surfaced within hours of the film’s release. While those versions dented collections slightly, many audiences still opted for the theatrical experience.

However, with a clean ultra-HD print now circulating, the damage is expected to escalate sharply. The leak is already impacting whatever footfalls remaining and is likely to hurt future OTT releases.
The hit is particularly severe for Netflix, which reportedly acquired Kuberaa’s digital rights at a premium price. With the HD version freely available, the exclusivity and buzz around its digital release could be severely affected.

Unfortunately, this isn’t an isolated incident. According to the Anti-Video Piracy Cell of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, over 100 active piracy websites are illegally distributing new releases.
Other recent June films like Kannappa have also been pirated within hours of hitting screens. While mobile cam leaks are common, the rise in HD leaks presents a more serious threat.

With over 150 Telugu films releasing annually, piracy has become a chronic problem — affecting not only producers and distributors, but also OTT platforms.
Industry voices are urgently calling for stricter digital surveillance, harsher cyber laws, and faster enforcement against piracy networks.
For now, Kuberaa stands as another major casualty in the ongoing battle against digital piracy.
