Her appearances include the Sub-Junior Nationals held in Uttarakhand in 2019, Junior Nationals in Uttar Pradesh (2021), Khelo India Nationals in Haryana (2021-22), Under-19 Nationals in Delhi (2023) and Haryana (2024), South Zone Inter-University tournament in Tamil Nadu (2025), the 47th Junior Nationals in Uttar Pradesh (2025), and most recently, the 53rd Senior Nationals in Agra (2025). Coming from a modest background, Satya credits her family for her success. Her father, B Kanaka Raju, works in a corporate firm, while her mother, B Adilakshmi, is a homemaker, and her younger sister, Roshini Teja, is an Intermediate student. “We never had much, but we always believed in her dreams. Watching her grow through handball has been our biggest joy,” says Adilakshmi.
“There are days I’m exhausted after training or traveling, but I remind myself why I started. My dream is to represent India in the Olympics 2028. That keeps me going,” she says with determination.
She said that the support of the college management, including Secretary T Srinivas Rao, Principal G Krishnaveni, and her coach, Physical Director Hemachandar Rao, was unwavering and played a crucial role in her sports career.
“I am proud of what my daughter has achieved. She is setting an example not just for our family, but for many girls in our community,” says her father, Kanaka Raju. Satya draws inspiration from football legend Cristiano Ronaldo. “His dedication and the way he never gives up, I relate to that. He motivates me to dream big and stay strong,” she added.
