Renault Duster 7-Seater Debut July 10 -Bigger, Hybrid, India-Bound

The wait is nearly over! The French automaker is all set to take the wraps off the highly-anticipated 7-seater version of the new Duster SUV on 10th July, 2025. In an official video, the company confirmed that the production-ready Renault Duster 7-seater SUV will be called ‘Boreal’. This model will also make its way to India, possibly in 2026 following the arrival of third-gen Duster (5-seater). It’s still unclear whether the SUV will retain the same nameplate in India or be launched under a different one.

Design Details:

As a three-row version of the Duster, the Renault Boreal will share its platform and design DNA with its 5-seater sibling. However, it will certainly be longer and more spacious than its younger sibling. Dimensionally, the Duster 7-seater could be similar to the Dacia Bigster, which measures 4,570mm in length, 1,810mm in width, and 1,710mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,700mm.

The latest spy images reveal that the Renault Duster 7-seater will feature LED DRLs, prominent wheel arch claddings, roof rails, B-pillar mounted handles on the rear doors, pull-type handles on the front doors and a pronounced rear spoiler.

Petrol & Hybrid Powertrain:

Official engine specifications are yet to be revealed. However, the Renault Boreal is likely to be offered with the same powertrain as the 5-seater Duster. The lower variants could get a naturally-aspirated petrol engine, while the higher trims will be exclusively offered with the strong hybrid powertrain.

According to media reports, the Renault Duster 7-seater hybrid SUV will come with a petrol engine, paired with a 51bhp electric motor and a starter generator powered by a 1.4kWh battery pack. Its combined power output is expected to range between 108bhp – 155bhp. Compared to the 5-seater Duster, its three-row version will be more powerful. Transmission choices will include a manual and an automatic gearbox. Both SUVs will be based on the CMF-B platform.
