The much-anticipated Drishyam 3 is officially on track to begin filming on October 2, 2025. The latest that we know is that a grand release has been planned for Gandhi Jayanti 2026.
This final chapter in the suspense thriller franchise brings back key players that we initially loved: Ajay Devgn and Tabu for one last intense face-off. Joining them is Akshaye Khanna, who is also playing a key role in the third installment.

According to reports, director Abhishek Pathak recently pitched the screenplay to Akshaye and Tabu. They were instantly impressed and agreed to return.
The plot reportedly picks up right after the events of Drishyam 2, and will witness the psychological chess match between Ajay Devgn’s Vijay Salgaonkar and the law, represented by Akshaye Khanna’s sharp cop and Tabu’s relentless former IG.

Shriya Saran will reprise her role as Vijay’s wife. Meanwhile, casting for other characters is underway.
What makes Drishyam 3 even more exciting is that the Hindi, Malayalam, and Telugu versions will share the same script. This has been confirmed by original director Jeethu Joseph.
However, the only concern is that the film may face tough box office competition because it will be clashing with Shah Rukh Khan’s King.
