According to the Federation of Automobile Dealers’ Associations (FADA), electric vehicle sales rose by 28.6% YoY to 1,80,238 units in June 2025. FADA data shows that electric passenger vehicle sales almost doubled to 13,178 units in June 2025, compared to 7,323 units in the same month last year. Electric passenger vehicles now make up 4.4% of the total EV sales compared to 2.5% in the previous year. The electric 2-wheeler segment also registered massive growth as sales surged 31.7% in June 2025. 1,05,355 units were sold compared to 80,003 units in June 2024. Electric 3-wheeler sales were also up by 15.8%, from 52,302 units in June 2024 to 60,559 units last month. Electric 3-wheelers accounted for over 60% of the total EV sales during the month. The electric commercial vehicle sales more than doubled with a 122.5% growth YoY. 1,146 units were sold in June compared to 515 units in the same month last year. Source:ET Auto
