My Kia Seltos diesel nears 95,000 km mark: Multiple weekend getaways

I have been seeing the Kia Anantapur factory every year since 2015 and it has grown fast and huge.

Bhpian ashis89 recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

Last 3 months, there were no trips with Coyote. Whenever I needed a break, I went for a longish drive. Some were planned in advance, some impromptu, some with extended family and some were just the two of us. One thing was common: we got good rains along the way on all these trips.

One early afternoon, me and Mrs.A stepped out with a plan to drive, have lunch somewhere and then drive back. Along the way, fixed Empire Kolar as the destination but when we reached the place and saw the waiting list of people, we moved on. Next favorite is Terminal Cafe but it was behind and we chose the third choice – Woody’s. After a nice lunch, including the near-perfect gobi manchurian, we headed towards Chittoor for some more distance before heading back. On the return leg, the crowd had subsided at Empire’s so we made a halt for Mango Falooda, one of my weaknesses. Falooda was an average one.

Lot of the Gulmohar trees were in full bloom and looked a huge red bouquet

For another weekend, I woke up early and went for a breakfast drive. I wanted to go to Davangere for the Benne Dose but Mrs.A was hungry already, so we cut short at A2B Sira and then drove back.

On another occasion, it was an invitation to attend an anniversary celebration near Nandi Hills. This time it was with extended family and I chose the Hoskote – STRR route.

Another weekend, my sister suggested we go to Penukonda Fort with a lunch break on the way, at Big Bay. My father-in-law was curious about the Syros and we saw a couple of test vehicles as we emerged from the fort road. He is a car enthusiast and so I took us towards Anantapur so he could have a look at the Kia factory. I have been seeing the place every year since 2015 and it has grown fast and huge. We had a short tea break at the new A2B outlet next to the Kia factory before returning to BLR.

Again used the STRR to exit the city but I returned via Hebbal and then the city.

Got a wash for the Coyote, in between

Last weekend, we drove to Shivanasamundram to witness Kaveri, via NICE – Mysore Eway. Saw both the falls and then drove back the same route.

I had to reschedule the service appointment a couple of times as I was not available. Now I have started getting reminders for the pending service. Hopefully, this weekend’s commitment holds good. Odo stands at 946xx kms.
