Wimbledon 2025 had its share of sporting drama but off the court it was a different kind of buzz that was making headlines.
Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma and Avneet Kaur were all spotted at the tournament and social media had a field day connecting the dots.

Virat and Anushka looked stylish as they watched Novak Djokovic take on Alex de Minaur in the Round of 16.
It was a throwback for the couple who last attended Wimbledon together in 2015. Kohli even told Star Sports that their first visit had been a special memory.

While all eyes were on the tennis, Avneet Kaur also posted pictures from the event. She wore a white mini dress, styled it with a scarf and sunglasses and carried a luxury Hermes mini Birkin bag.
She made headlines for her fashion but it was the timing of her visit that sparked the internet rumour mill.

Some fans noticed that both Kohli and Avneet were at Wimbledon around the same time maybe even the same day.
That was enough to start the wild theories, especially since just weeks ago Kohli had “accidentally” liked Avneet’s photos on Instagram. His excuse? An algorithm glitch.
That excuse was already going viral and now this new Wimbledon coincidence was adding fuel to the fire.
Things really took off when a picture of Anushka looking at her phone, sitting next to a serious looking Kohli, started doing the rounds. Fans immediately linked her expression to the Avneet situation.
Memes flooded X (formerly Twitter). One user joked, “Now we know why Anushka bhabhi was checking her phone.”
Another said, “Bhai ka mood kharab tha.” Some even joked that this might be a PR stunt, with one caption reading, “Coincidence or algorithm?”
Of course there’s no proof that Kohli and Avneet were at the tournament on the exact same day. It might just be a random overlap. But that didn’t stop fans from jumping in with their own stories and memes.
Avneet didn’t respond to the online noise. She simply posted her pictures and enjoyed her moment. Kohli and Anushka, meanwhile, seemed focused on the tennis and were seen chatting and cheering throughout the match.
In the end it was just a day out for a few celebrities but for social media it was the perfect recipe of gossip, timing and old screenshots to spice things up.
Wimbledon gave tennis fans a lot to cheer for and internet users something else to laugh at.
