Hyderabad: An eight-year-old boy, who suffered grievous injuries in a stray dog attack at Neredmet on Tuesday, succumbed to the injuries in the hospital on Wednesday.
The boy, Prasad Jadhav (8), studying Grade III at a private school, was staying with his parents in Keshav Nagar. Police said the incident occurred when Prasad Jadhav was returning from a nearby shop.
The boy raised an alarm, following which the neighbours rushed to his rescue and chased away the dog. He was immediately shifted to the hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.
The case is being investigated.
