The first part of “Baahubali” was released in 2015 and became a box office sensation. Its cliffhanger ending sparked massive intrigue and built immense anticipation for the second part, which hit theaters in 2017. The phrase “Why Did Kattappa Kill Baahubali?” went viral, further fueling the hype. The second film shattered all box office records and still holds the title of the second highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
Now, Rajamouli and his team have decided to combine both parts into a single film, titled “Baahubali: The Epic.”
Today, Rajamouli announced that The Epic will release in theaters on October 31, 2025. He noted that the film created countless memories and continues to inspire audiences.
It remains to be seen how much buzz this combined version will generate in October. The original cast includes Prabhas as the hero, Rana Daggubati as the antagonist, Anushka Shetty as the female lead, and Tamannaah in a key role. Ramya Krishna played the iconic role of Sivagami.
