Renault Boreal (Renault Duster 7-Seater): Design

The overall design and styling of the Boreal looks quite similar to the third-gen Duster, which is already on sale in select European markets as the Dacia Duster. The 7-seater SUV features a signature grille with Renault’s new logo in the centre, a sporty bumper with a larger air dam, LED headlamps clusters connected by a gloss black panel, pull-type front door handles, and B-pillar mounted rear door handles and B-pillars mounted rear door handles.

The roof rails, squarish wheel arches with black cladding, and bold shoulder creases further enhance its rugged appearance. The rear has been adorned by LED taillamps, a hefty black bumper, a silver skid plate and a small spoiler.

Renault Boreal (Renault Duster 7-Seater): Engines

The 7-seater Duster will be offered with multiple engine options in select global markets including a flex-fuel powertrain. In India, the SUV is likely to share its engines with the 5-seater Duster that’s expected to come with a 1.3L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine, churning out a maximum power of 151bhp and 250Nm of torque.

In India, the Renault Duster and its 7-seater version might also be introduced with a strong hybrid powertrain. The 5-seater Duster is likely to use a 94bhp, 1.6L petrol engine paired with two electric motors and a 1.2kWh battery pack, delivering a combined power of 140bhp.

The Renault Boreal is expected to feature a 108bhp petrol engine with a 51bhp motor, a starter generator and a 1.4kWh battery. The setup will deliver power close to 155bhp. Both the new Duster and 7-seater Boreal might be offered with AWD (all-wheel drive) system in India.
