The IM5 will come with 75 and 100 kWh battery packs as well as single and dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations.
MG has unveiled two new EVs, the IM5 and IM6. Both models made their debut at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The IM5 has coupe-ish styling and at first glance, reminds you of the Porsche Taycan. It features smooth design lines with flush door handles and a low drag coefficient of 0.226. It also gets 19-inch wheels and a panoramic sunroof. It gets a 26.3-inch touchscreen that functions as a digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. It supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and is accompanied by a lower 10.5-inch touchscreen. Other features include LED taillights, rear spoiler and a 457-litre boot.
Additionally, there are heated and ventilated “leather style” seats, a 20-speaker audio system and a wireless smartphone charger.
The IM5 will come with 75 and 100 kWh battery packs as well as single and dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations. The 100 kWh long-range variant has a claimed range of 710 km on a single charge. It can charge from 10 to 80 percent charge in just 17 minutes via fast charging. A Performance variant with 742 BHP and 802 Nm is also confirmed. It will do the 0 to 100 kph sprint in just 3.2 seconds.
The IM6 is more of an SUV. While most design elements are similar, it is taller and has a revised front end and cladding. It also has a bigger boot with a capacity of 665 litres.
The IM6 will come with a 100 kWh battery pack with 624 km of range. The Performance variant can go from 0 to 100 kph in 3.5 seconds. The IM6 gets rear-wheel steering as standard.
