HYDERABAD: A Class 3 student, Prasad Jadhav, lost his life following an attack by a pack of dogs in Keshawanagar, Neredmet on Tuesday night.The 8-year-old was playing near his house when several dogs attacked him, causing serious injuries.
The boy was rushed to Gandhi Hospital, where doctors administered him an injection. Shortly afterwards, the boy complained of dizziness and passed away while under treatment.According to a complaint by Prasad’s father, Premdas Jadhav, the boy was bitten on his left thigh. Neredmet police initiated an investigation and filed a case. Relatives of the boy said that packs of stray dogs frequently roam the neighbourhood, and have attacked children in the past as well.A similar incident was reported a few months ago, when a four-year-old boy was attacked by two stray dogs while playing near his residence in Rajendranagar. The dogs suddenly lunged at the child. However, his mother’s timely intervention caused the dogs to let go of the child.
