Hyderabad: In an extraordinary event, an 8-year-old child prodigy Nirvi Pradyumna demonstrated over 50 chess opening traps across 50 boards in a record 30 minutes.

In addition to this, she identified the official currencies of 195 countries in a single attempt in just 4 minutes and 26 seconds at an event held at Ashoka One Mall, Kukatpally.

Nirvi performed each chess opening trap with perfect clarity and speed, seamlessly moving between more than 50 different chess setups, a press release said. She also recognised and named the official currency of each country using flashcards.

“This achievement places Nirvi among India’s youngest chess and memory prodigies”, the release added. In recognition of her talents, Nirvi has been invited to the British Parliament in September 2025 for a special felicitation.

Ujjwal Chauhan, Senior National Arbiter of Chess was present during the event and certified Nirvi’s successful performance and sent the observations to World Book of Records – London.
