Kia Carens Clavis EV Price Reveal Tomorrow – Key Details

The official prices of the Kia Carens Clavis EV will be announced tomorrow – i.e. July 15, 2025. It will be the South Korean automaker’s first electric mass-market offering in India. The electric MPV will be offered only in a 7-seat configuration, and is estimated to be priced similarly to the Hyundai Creta Electric which is currently available in the price range of Rs 17.99 lakh – Rs 24.38 lakh (ex-showroom).

Expected Prices:

In terms of pricing and positioning, the higher variants of the Carens EV will take on the BYD eMax 7, while the lower trims will compete with the higher variants of the MG Windsor EV. The eMax7 and Windsor EV are currently available in the price range of Rs 31.01 lakh – Rs 34.45 lakh and Rs 14 lakh – Rs 18.31 lakh, respectively. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom. The Kia Carens Clavis EV prices are expected to start around Rs 18 lakh and go up to Rs 24.50 lakh.

Range & Battery Packs:

Kia India has confirmed that the Carens Clavis EV delivers a claimed range of 490km on a single charge. However, the company hasn’t yet revealed its battery specifications. According to media reports, the Kia Carens EV will borrow the powertrains with the Hyundai Creta Electric, which offers two battery pack options – 42kWh and 51.4kWh. The smaller battery offers an ARAI-certified range of 390k, while the larger Long-Range pack promises a range of 473km. Both battery packs are paired with a 171bhp/255Nm front-axle mounted electric motor.

Design & Features:

The overall design and cabin layout of the Kia Carens Clavis EV remain largely identical to its ICE counterpart. However, several EV-specific design changes set them apart. On the exterior, the electric Carens Clavis features a sealed-off grille with a charging socket on the nose and new ice-cubed LED fog lamps. Inside, the EV has a new floating centre console and a storage compartment in pace of the gear lever.
