A group of techies were chased by unidentified, allegedly drunk youths on a scooter in Hyderabad’s Uppal area following a road rage incident. The video of the chase went viral on social media, prompting police to launch an investigation.

Hyderabad: Unidentified youths allegedly in an inebriated condition created ruckus as they aggressively chased a group of techies going in a cab at Uppal on Friday night.
The video of the incident became viral on social media after a citizen posted it on social media on Sunday.
The incident occurred when the techies were returning from work in a cab from Pocharam IT corridor towards Tarnaka via Uppal.
As per available information, the cab driver had honked at some vehicles to give way at Uppal ‘x’ road. Angered by this, two youths going on a scooter reportedly in an intoxicated manner, started arguing and abusing the cab driver and the passengers who tried to intervene.
The hooligans did not stop there, and chased the cab on a scooter and terrorized them.
The IT employees complained at the Uppal police station. The youths stood outside the police station to attack the IT employees, but fled from the spot on seeing the cops coming out of the police station.
The police are investigating.
