Nizamabad Man Stuck In Saudi Arabia, Requests Govt Help

HYDERABAD: Nizamabad’s Santosh Megavath, who went to Saudi Arabia looking for work, got trapped there after his employer put a bogus thievery case on him and the government imposed a travel ban on his name.

In a video, Santosh said that he has been living on the streets for two years, and requested the government to bring him back home.

Santosh said that he worked as a driver for a logistics company in Saudi Arabia. The company did not pay Santosh his salary for 15 months, after which Santosh went to the labour court in the country.

Santosh alleged that the company informed the court that he stole diesel from the company, and the court put out a 16,000 Saudi Riyal (approximately Rs. 3,66,587) fine, and imposed a 10-year travel ban on him.

“I have been living on the streets for two years, without any money or a place to stay. I request the Telangana government to help me come back home”, Santosh said in the video.
