Renault Duster & Duster 7-Seater

Renault India has confirmed the launch of the third-generation Duster and its three-row version for the Indian market. While the 5-seater Duster is slated to hit roads in early 2026, the 7-seater model might follow a few months later, aiming at the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar and Mahindra XUV700. In the midsize SUV segment, the new Renault Duster will take on the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and Honda Elevate.

Expected Prices:

Official specifications, features and other details of the SUVs will be revealed closer to the launch. However, the new Renault Duster is estimated to be priced between Rs 10 lakh – Rs 15 lakh, and the Duster 7-seater is likely to cost around Rs 14-15 lakh for the base variant and nearly Rs 18 lakh for the top variant.

Turbo-Petrol Power:

Recently, the French automaker revealed the Renault Boreal SUV as a 5-seater, featuring a 1.3L turbo petrol engine and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The petrol unit delivers a claimed power between 138bhp/156bhp with 240Nm of torque. It can also run on flex fuel, and producing power worth 163bhp and 270Nm of torque. The Boreal does 0 to 100kmph in 9.26 seconds, and offers four drive modes – Eco, Comfort, Sport and MySense.

Hybrid Launch On Cards!

The same powertrain might be offered in the India-spec new Renault Duster and Duster 7-seater SUVs. Speculations suggest that Renault might also offer both models with hybrid powertrains. The 5-seater Duster is expected to feature a 94bhp, 1.6L petrol engine, two electric motors and a 1.2kWh battery pack, delivering a total power of 140bhp. The Duster 7-seater might come with a 108bhp petrol engine, a 51bhp motor, starter generator and a 1.4kWh battery, offering a combined power of 155bhp.

Expected Features:

The official feature list of the new Renault Duster and Duster 7-seater SUVs is yet to be revealed. However, many features are likely to be borrowed from the recently unveiled Renault Boreal SUV such as
