Former IAS officer questioned by Hyderabad CCS in Khajaguda land dispute

Former IAS officer RP Singh was brought in for questioning by officials of the Central Crime Station (CCS) on Wednesday in connection with a land dispute case.

According to an officer from the CCS, the case revolves around a parcel of land located at Khajaguda, in Raidurgam, which Singh and his wife Harvinder Singh had claimed ownership.

The land had earlier been handed over to a construction company under an agreement for the development of a commercial complex. During the course of the project, the company reportedly discovered that a portion of the land had been gifted to the couple’s daughter through a deed that was subsequently cancelled.

In 2023, the company lodged a complaint with the Raidurgam police alleging that Singh had concealed details of the gift deed while entering into the development agreement. The case was later transferred to CCS.
