WARANGAL: An alleged relationship between a 42-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman ended tragically when both died by suicide on Wednesday in Annaram Sharif village, Parvathagiri mandal, Warangal district.
According to police, the man has been identified as Velpugonda Swamy, a lorry driver residing in Indira Colony Phase 2 of Enumamula village. The woman, Elishala Gayatri, lived next door and was pursuing a degree in Warangal city. The two had known each other for three years and developed a romantic relationship.
Swamy’s family warned him of severe repercussions if he continued seeing the young woman. Fearing backlash, Swamy and Gayatri fled together last week. They were found unconscious in Annaram Sharif. The police rushed them to MGM Hospital, but despite medical treatment, both had succumbed to death.
