The next-generation BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe has finally been launched in India, priced between Rs 46.90 lakh (for the 218 M Sport) – Rs 48.90 lakh (for the 218 M Sport Pro). The new model is Rs 2.5 lakh more expensive than its predecessor. The new 2 Series has been positioned against the Merecedes-Benz A-Class sedan, which is currently available in the price range of Rs 46.05 lakh – Rs 48.55 lakh.
Turbo Power & Performance:
The 2025 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe comes with significantly improved styling, a more upmarket interior and a turbocharged petrol engine. Compared to its predecessor, its larger and sportier, but slightly less powerful. The new-gen model uses a 1.5L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine, churning out a maximum power of 156bhp and 230Nm of torque. Transmission on offer is a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox delivering power to the front wheels.
BMW claims that the new 2 Series Gran Coupe accelerates 0 to 100kmph in 8.6 seconds. It’s 1.5 seconds slower than its predecessor, which was available with a 176bhp, 2.0L turbo petrol engine capable of doing 0 to 100kmph in 7.1 seconds.

Design Changes:
The 2025 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is 20mm longer, 15mm wider and 15mm taller than its predecessor. It carries a more angular design language and features the signature kidney grille with vertical and diagonal slats and an illuminated frame, sleeker LED headlamps with diagonally placed DRLs at the front end. The new 2 Series comes fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels and sports a slim taillamps, sportier rear bumper with diffuser-like design and vertical air exits on either side.
