Lokesh promises house pattas to 2,000 more families living in govt lands in Mangalagiri

Vijayawada: HRD and IT minister Nara Lokesh has directed officials to take steps to grant permanent house pattas to another 2,000 families residing in various government lands in the Mangalagiri constituency by August. He reviewed the ongoing development works in the constituency at his residence in Undavalli. Speaking at the meeting, Lokesh noted that house pattas worth approximately ₹1,000 crore were previously distributed to 3,000 families, and steps should be taken to distribute another 2,000 pattas in August. He instructed officials to prepare plans for acquiring land to construct new TIDCO housing complexes for the poor in the constituency. He suggested developing a park near the existing TIDCO complex in Mangalagiri. Lokesh asked the officials to start prestigious integrated underground drainage, water, gas, and power project works immediately. He also instructed them to expedite the works of 31 community halls, 26 parks, and crematoriums planned under CSR and government funding in the constituency.The minister directed officials to develop a scenic park alongside the construction of the Mahanadu colony retaining wall to prevent flooding. Officials reported that the model library near the Mangalagiri Shiva temple, equipped with modern facilities, is nearing completion. The prestigious Nidamarru model reconstruction works are to be completed by September. He also instructed officials to expedite the comprehensive plan to develop the Mangalagiri Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple and commence works soon.“We should initiate measures for construction of a smart street bazaar, a modern vegetable, flower, and fruit market with 350 shops on the Nidamarru road, and a fish market worth ₹2 crore at Polakampadu. Given the influx of visitors from Vijayawada and Guntur, plans should be prepared to develop the Mangalagiri Eco Park as an adventure park,” Lokesh said. The minister emphasized focusing on pothole-free roads, traffic management systems, and ensuring 100% street lighting in the constituency. He also discussed measures for developing a gems and jewellery park and lakes in the constituency. The meeting was attended by Mangalagiri-Tadepalli municipal corporation commissioner Aleem Basha, endowments commissioner Ramachandra Mohan, MTMC SE Srinivas Rao, deputy city planner Ashok, deputy commissioner Srikant, and others.
