Vijayawada: On the auspicious occasion of Ashadha Masam, large numbers of devotees thronged the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam (Durga temple) atop Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada to offer the traditional Ashadha Saarey Samarpana on Thursday. The sixth-floor premises of the Maha Mandapam witnessed a heavy influx of devotees, with hundreds of groups participating in the ritual offerings.
Durga temple executive officer Seena Naik supervised the arrangements and issued clear instructions to the staff stationed on the sixth floor of the Maha Mandapam. He directed that adequate drinking water facilities be made available both at the Maha Mandapam and along the Darshan queues to ensure the comfort of devotees.
EO Seena Naik also inspected the free Prasadam distribution counters and took measures to ensure that all devotees could have a smooth and hassle-free darshan of Goddess Durga.
