HYDERABAD: The RGIA police registered a case after an Air India cabin crew member alleged that a passenger stole her baggage during Delhi-Hyderabad flight on Thursday evening. According to Kanchana JT (28), a resident of Uttam Nagar in Delhi, upon noticing that her bag was missing, she immediately dialled her handset from a colleague’s phone. A man, who identified himself as ‘CPT Raja,’ answered, admitted to picking up the bag by mistake, and promised to return it. “After an hour, he stopped taking calls and switched the phone off,” the complainant alleged. The suspect is believed to be from Secunderabad. A case was registered on Friday. Police are analysing CCTV footage from the terminal and have sought passenger manifests from Air India. “We expect to trace the accused shortly,” an RGI Airport PS official said.
