Film actors have received ED notices in betting apps case. In the notice, it has been mentioned as to when the actors must appear before ED.
Rana has been called on July 23 and Prakash Raj has been summoned on July 30. Vijay Devarakonda who is awaiting his next release Kingdom has been summoned on August 6, while Manchu Lakshmi has been called on August 13.

Though the betting apps are banned, nearly 1000 people have lost their lives due to them, in both Telugu states. The police have taken the issue seriously as many invested money in apps promoted by film stars.
Though some ads had been released a few years back, the damage they did to Telugu people is really concerning. While the actors maintain that they didn’t know about the repercussions, they did influence gullible audiences.

Apart from suicides, many families have seen financial ruin due to the apps. In some cases, entire families committed suicides due to debts.
Being responsible people, citizens of Telugu states feel that the film stars must refrain from promoting apps or any products that can cause financial and physical loss.

After mass outrage, the police acted on the matter and listed out the actors who promoted betting apps. The investigation is on and it remains to be seen what action will be taken.
