Honda 2Wheelers has unveiled two new motorcycles for the Indian market – the Honda CB125 Hornet and the Honda Shine 100 DX. Bookings for both models will begin on August 1, 2025. While the official prices will be revealed in the coming weeks, the new Shine 100 DX and 125cc Hornet are estimated to be priced around Rs 72,000 and Rs 1 lakh, respectively.
In the sporty 125cc motorcycle segment, the CB125 Hornet will compete with the TVS Raider 125, Bajaj Pulsar NS125 and N125 and Hero Xtreme 125R. Meanwhile, the Shine 100 DX will challenge the Bajaj Platina 100 and Hero HF Deluxe Pro.

Starting with the engine, the Honda Shine 100 DX uses a 98.98cc engine, paired to a 4-speed gearbox. This motor generates a maximum power of 7.38PS at 7,500rpm and 8.04Nm of toque at 5,000rpm.
The new Honda CB125 Hornet derives its power from a 123.94cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, borrowed from the Shine 125 but retuned for this bike. Now, the engine delivers a maximum power of 11.14PS at 7,500rpm and 11.2Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. The bike is claimed accelerate 0 to 60kmph in 5.4 seconds.
Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & More!

Underpinning a diamond-type frame, the Honda CB 125 Hornet comes equipped with inverted fork and a 5-step adjustable monoshock suspension. Braking duties are performed by a 240mm front petal disc brake with single-channel ABS and a 130mm rear drum brake. The bike has been assembled with 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 80-section front and 110-section rear tyres. The bike has a ground clearance of 166mm and a fuel tank capacity of 12-litres. Its kerb weight stands at 124kg.
The Honda Shine 100 DX, based on a diamond frame, features a conventional telescopic fork and 5-step adjustable twin rear shocks suspension. The bike source its braking power from the front (130mm) and rear drum (110mm) brakes, supported by a CBS (Combined Braking System). It rides on 17-inch wheels with 2.75-inch front and 3-inch rear tubeless tyres. The bike offers a seat height of 786mm and a ground clearance of 168mm. It has a kerb weight of 103kg and a fuel tank of 10-litres.
