Telangana Bandh Today: Schools and Colleges to Remain Closed on July 23

good news for students in Telangana! All schools and junior colleges across the state will remain closed today, July 23, as student unions have called for a statewide bandh.

The protest is being led by student groups like the All India Students’ Federation (AISF) and Students’ Federation of India (SFI). They are demanding that the state government take immediate action on several issues that have been pending for a long time.

Bandh due to this reason

Some of their main concerns include high fees in private schools and colleges, delay in releasing student scholarships, lack of proper facilities in government institutions, and delay in filling teacher vacancies.

They are also asking for the appointment of a dedicated Education Minister and want the mid-day meal scheme to be extended to junior colleges. Another major demand is that the Telangana government should reject the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

An Official Holiday?

Although the government has not issued an official holiday, most schools and colleges — including private ones — have decided to remain closed for safety reasons. Parents and students are advised to check with their institutions for reopening updates.
