GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan directed circle deputy commissioners to expedite issuing trade licenses for 3.5 lakh non-residential properties and ensure timely property tax collection. Zonal commissioners must submit weekly progress reports on licenses and tax targets.

Hyderabad: The GHMC Commissioner, RV Karnan said the responsibility of issuing non-residential property and trade license certificates as well as collecting fees lies with the circle deputy commissioners.
At a review meeting with the officials, Karnan said there were 3.50 lakh non-residential properties in the city and trade license certificates should be issued to all. The zonal commissioners should provide details on number of non-residential properties in their jurisdiction, progress in issuing trade license and tax collection every week, he said.
The non-residential property owners were asked to ensure they get a trade license. Officials were also told that in line with the achievement of property tax target in July last year, the same should be collected this month.
