Harish accuses Revanth of undermining Telangana’s legacy

Hyderabad: Former minister T Harish Rao accused chief minister A Revanth Reddy of attempting to erase the legacy of the Telangana statehood movement. He said despite such efforts, former CM K Chandrasekhar Rao’s 14-year struggle would be remembered and passed on to future generations.Speaking at the BRS Vidyarthi state-level conference on Saturday, Harish Rao alleged a conspiracy involving PM Modi, AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu, and Revanth to undermine Telangana. “It is our collective duty to expose and resist this,” he said.Presenting on the Godavari–Banakacherla link project, he warned that Pothireddypadu’s extension and Banakacherla’s cross-regulator are aimed at diverting 200 tmc of Godavari water to Rayalaseema, bypassing Telangana’s rightful share.Harish Rao recalled how students powered the second phase of the movement under KCR’s leadership. KCR, he said, secured 95% of state govt jobs for Telangana youth and even got Presidential Orders amended. He accused Revanth of diverting Telangana funds to Delhi and Andhra Pradesh and said Congress came to power in 2023 through ‘Goebbels-style lies.’
