Former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will be visiting SPSR Nellore district on July 31 on a whirlwind tour.
Mr. Jagan is scheduled to start at Tadepalli by a chopper and reach Nellore by 10.45 a.m., from where he will reach the central prison to call on former Sarvepalli MLA Kakani Govardhan Reddy, who has been arrested on various charges of corruption during the erstwhile YSRCP regime.
Similarly, he will also visit the residence of Kovur former MLA Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy and express support to the beleaguered leader, before ending his tour.
It may be recalled that Mr. Prasanna’s house was ransacked a fortnight back in retaliation to his controversial and personal comments against the incumbent MLA Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy.
According to YSR Congress Party’s Nellore city president and MLC Parvathareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy, the necessary permission for landing of the helicopter has been secured from the district administration, and also the required approval to meet Mr. Kakani Govardhan Reddy in jail.
The party believes that the visit will provide the much-needed morale booster to the cadre, who are visibly down after the general elections, especially with the ‘rising attack’ on their leaders.
