The Maruti Suzuki Escudo midsize SUV is all set to go on sale with its official price announcement on 3rd September, 2025. It will the most technologically advanced SUV to be sold through Arena dealerships. While its official specifications and features are yet to be revealed, the new Maruti Escudo will be the brand’s first car to offer Level-2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) and Dolby Atmos audio technology.
Expected Features:

Unlike any other Arena offerings, the Escudo will be equipped with 4WD (four-wheel drive) system and a powered tailgate. Other key features might include

Petrol, Hybrid & CNG Powertrains:
The Maruti Escudo is expected to share its powertrains with the Grand Vitara, which is currently available with three engine options – 1.5L K15C petrol mild hybrid, 1.5L Atkinson cycle petrol-hybrid and CNG. The mild hybrid powertrain delivers a maximum power of 103bhp, while the strong hybrid setup offers power worth 115bhp.
Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed torque convertor automatic and an e-CVT. Unlike the Grand Vitara, which is available with the AWD (all-wheel drive) system, the new Maruti Escudo will be offered with 4WD (four-wheel drive) configuration.
Design & Dimensions:
The design and styling of the new Maruti midsize SUV will be heavily inspired by the Grand Vitara. According to media reports, the Escudo will be slightly longer and have larger boot space than the Grand Vitara. The latter is 4,345mm longer and offers a boot volume of 373-litres.
