Hyderabad: Housing minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Saturday announced that the state govt will provide ₹5 lakh assistance under the Indiramma housing scheme to beneficiaries who were allotted—or are yet to be allotted—incomplete 2-BHK units left unfinished by the previous BRS govt.At a review meeting with district collectors, the minister directed that all incomplete double -bedroom houses be allotted to eligible beneficiaries without house plots by Aug 15. He said past and fresh applications should be considered, and the assistance amount will be directly deposited to enable completion.The govt expects many beneficiaries to conduct housewarming ceremonies during Shravana masam. Officials were instructed to ensure the availability of sand and other materials, and a toll-free number will be launched to address grievances.The minister also urged early land acquisition for Warangal’s Mamnoor airport, for which ₹205 crore has been sanctioned. Plans for Warangal’s underground drainage system, estimated at ₹4,170 crore, were reviewed, with directions to break work into packages for timely execution.
