Nalgonda: A woman abandoned her two-year-old son at the Nalgonda bus stand and allegedly fled with another man, triggering concern among commuters and RTC staff.
The child was found crying inconsolably, drawing the attention of bus station personnel who immediately alerted the police.
According to officials, the woman, a resident of Hyderabad, had reportedly developed a relationship with a local youth from Nalgonda through Instagram. She travelled to meet him, bringing her young son along, but later deserted the child at the bus station before leaving with the man on a motorcycle.
Police swiftly launched an investigation and, using CCTV footage, tracked down the woman and her companion within a few hours. Upon questioning, the woman revealed her identity, following which police contacted her husband. The child was safely reunited with his father.
Further investigation is underway.
