The Kinetic DX electric scooter has finally been launched in India. It comes in two variants DX and DX+, priced at Rs 1.11 lakh and Rs 1.17 lakh, respectively. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom, Pune. Interested buyers can book this new Kinetic electric scooter online via the company’s official website. Deliveries will start from October, 2025. For now, only 35,000 units of the DX will be sold across the country.

In a new electric avatar, the DX revives the legacy of the iconic Kinetic Honda DX, which was introduced in 1984. The original DX was one of the most popular family-oriented scooters of the 1990s. The new Kinetic DX electric scooter competes with the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube and Ather Rizta. The company is offering a standard 3 year 30,000km warranty with the e-scooter, which can be extended up to 9 years 1,00,000km.

The new Kinetic DX and DX Plus feature a 4.7kW and a 4.8kW electric motor, paired with a 2.5kWh IP67 rated battery pack. While the DX delivers a claimed range of 102km, the DX Plus offers 116km on a single charge. The new DX is capable to attain a top speed of 80kmph (DX) and 90kmph (DX Plus).
The battery pack can be charged from 10 to 50 percent in 2 hours, 0 to 80 percent in 3 hours and 0 to 100 percent in 4 hours. It comes with an integrated charger and a 15A plug placed inside the glovebox, enabled by the Kinetic Easy Charge system. Both variants offer three ride modes – Range, Power and Turbo.

The new DX Electric scooter comes equipped with the conventional telescopic fork and twin shock absorber with preload adjustability at the rear. It derives braking power from a front disc and rear drum brake, assisted by CBS (Combined Braking System). It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels and a 100-section tyres at both ends.
