Brought home my KTM 390 Adventure: 4 crucial observations

Suspension is tuned perfectly for Indian tarmac.

Yesterday took delivery of KTM 390 Adventure X+.

Few quick observations:

1. ‘THE’ Buzzy-ness of the bike:

The buzzy nature of bike at idle and city riding speeds is prominent ONLY in Street mode. Bike feels most calm on Rain mode (from buzzy-ness perspective).

2. Best of both worlds:

Calm nature of Rain mode and roaring lion unleashed in Offroad mode, makes this bike best of both worlds. It would be too soon to say but I think Rain mode will be my default choice for daily rides and off-road mode when need more power and fun. I don’t know why company chose to offer Street mode as the chosen one on older X as I feel it’s most useless mode.

3. Suspension:

Suspension is tuned perfectly for Indian tarmac, or lack of it if you say. Believe me that you won’t regret letting go benchmark comfort levels of Himalayan 450 as this bike offers almost similar level of comfort while giving so much more in other departments.

4. Seat:

The seat is not at all as uncomforting as it looks because of it being narrow. Today took it for short 60-70 mins spin and never ever felt the need to take a break because of sore bum.

Will keep on sharing more in the future.
