Vijayawada: The INVESTOPIA Global Andhra Pradesh Summit witnessed four key sessions that showcased the state’s ambitious roadmap toward a $2.5 trillion economy by 2047. From digital innovation to global data collaboration, the sessions brought together top minds and policymakers, with Andhra Pradesh IT minister Nara Lokesh delivering a compelling vision for the state’s future.Speaking during the “Digital Infrastructure and Innovation” session, minister Lokesh emphasised the potential of data centers as economic catalysts, comparing them to how Hyderabad Airport transformed Telangana’s economy. “We saw this opportunity back in 2017–18 and envisioned Visakhapatnam as India’s Data City. Now we are accelerating that journey,” he said.In the session on “India–UAE Partnerships,” Lokesh pitched the concept of Data Embassies, proposing that India’s data could be hosted in the UAE and vice versa. “This kind of government-to-government collaboration will define the next digital age,” he noted.The “Future of Education and Quantum Tech” session highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s focus on emerging technologies. Lokesh announced that India’s first 150-qubit quantum computer will be installed in Amaravati, unlocking new opportunities in curriculum design, research, and high-tech investments.Finally, the session on “Economic Vision 2047” centered around India’s broader goal of becoming a $30 trillion economy. Lokesh reiterated Andhra Pradesh’s target of contributing $2.5 trillion to India’s GDP by 2047, driven by youth, innovation, and world-class infrastructure.“These are exciting times. We have the talent, the drive, and the vision. With the right partnerships, AP can lead India’s digital revolution,” said Lokesh.
